Il est temps de comprendre ce rire pour mieux le d\u00e9passer. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Une figure ancienne fa\u00e7onn\u00e9e par la satire<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>La figure du \u201ccocu\u201d appara\u00eet tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t dans la litt\u00e9rature fran\u00e7aise. Loin d\u2019\u00eatre anecdotique, elle occupe un r\u00f4le culturel majeur : celui du personnage dont on se moque, symbole de na\u00efvet\u00e9, de cr\u00e9dulit\u00e9 et parfois d\u2019aveuglement amoureux.<br>Ce rire collectif, h\u00e9rit\u00e9 du Moyen \u00c2ge et renforc\u00e9 par la tradition des farces, a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un imaginaire social persistant, un imaginaire qui influence encore aujourd\u2019hui le regard port\u00e9 sur les victimes d\u2019infid\u00e9lit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 travers les si\u00e8cles, plusieurs grands auteurs ont fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 cette repr\u00e9sentation, souvent sans mesurer qu\u2019ils participaient \u00e0 une forme durable de stigmatisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rabelais : la farce populaire et les \u201ccornes\u201d<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"618\" src=\"https:\/\/www.soscocu.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Francois_Rabelais.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1005\" style=\"width:333px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.soscocu.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Francois_Rabelais.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.soscocu.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Francois_Rabelais-243x300.jpg 243w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Chez Rabelais, le cocu est un personnage omnipr\u00e9sent. Dans <em>Pantagruel<\/em> et <em>Gargantua<\/em>, les \u201ccornes\u201d deviennent un symbole universel des illusions perdues.<br>Rabelais \u00e9crit notamment :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab Il n\u2019est si grand seigneur qui ne craigne les cornes, quand elles viennent \u00e0 poincter. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La figure du mari tromp\u00e9 est utilis\u00e9e pour d\u00e9noncer les faiblesses humaines et les illusions de grandeur.<br>Elle fait rire, elle choque, mais elle montre d\u00e9j\u00e0 un m\u00e9canisme social fondamental : le malheur intime devient spectacle collectif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette tradition populaire, fond\u00e9e sur la d\u00e9rision, sera largement reprise au th\u00e9\u00e2tre classique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moli\u00e8re : le cocu comme ressort dramatique<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"637\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.soscocu.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Moliere.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1006\" style=\"width:340px;height:auto\" pi\u00e8ces utilisent le mari tromp\u00e9 comme moteur comique ou moral, r\u00e9v\u00e9lateur des hypocrisies de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans <em>George Dandin<\/em>, cette phrase est devenue proverbiale :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab Ah ! vous l\u2019avez voulu, George Dandin, vous l\u2019avez voulu ! \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elle illustre parfaitement la logique traditionnelle : le cocu serait responsable de son malheur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans <em>Le M\u00e9decin malgr\u00e9 lui<\/em>, Moli\u00e8re va jusqu\u2019\u00e0 \u00e9crire :<br>\u00ab Les maris sont faits pour \u00eatre cocus. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette normalisation th\u00e9\u00e2trale a longtemps entretenu une vision fataliste et moqueuse du tromp\u00e9, vision dont les cons\u00e9quences psychologiques persistent aujourd\u2019hui chez de nombreuses victimes : honte, culpabilit\u00e9, peur d\u2019\u00eatre jug\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La Fontaine : les contes licencieux et la satire fine<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"797\" height=\"1024\" croyance populaire, aucune fable officielle de La Fontaine ne traite directement du cocuage.<br>Mais ses <em>Contes et Nouvelles<\/em>, beaucoup plus libres et souvent licencieux, \u00e9voquent abondamment la tromperie conjugale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parmi les exemples les plus notables :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Le Cocu battu et content<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Le Mari confesseur<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>La Fianc\u00e9e du Roi de Garbe<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>La Fontaine y d\u00e9peint des maris tromp\u00e9s ridiculis\u00e9s, dup\u00e9s, manipul\u00e9s.<br>Il utilise \u00e9galement des maximes devenues proverbiales, appliqu\u00e9es \u00e0 ces situations :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab On ne s\u2019avise jamais de tout. \u00bb<br>\u00ab Tel est pris qui croyait prendre. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces formules ont nourri une culture de la moquerie qui fait du cocu un personnage comique plut\u00f4t qu\u2019une victime.<br>C\u2019est l\u2019un des fondements historiques de ce que nous nommons aujourd\u2019hui <em>la cocuphobie<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Voltaire : le cocu comme symbole philosophique<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Chez Voltaire, la figure du cocu \u00e9volue : elle devient un outil de critique morale et sociale.<br>Le tromp\u00e9 n\u2019est plus seulement ridicule, il symbolise la condition humaine tromp\u00e9e par les illusions du monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans <em>Zadig<\/em>, les malheurs sentimentaux du h\u00e9ros sont d\u00e9crits comme des \u00e9preuves n\u00e9cessaires :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab Il n\u2019y a point de hasard ; tout est \u00e9preuve ou punition. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et dans ses maximes, Voltaire \u00e9crit :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab Le cocuage est une grande \u00e9cole de philosophie. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le cocu devient alors un personnage lucide malgr\u00e9 lui, dont les souffrances r\u00e9v\u00e8lent les contradictions sociales, religieuses et morales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Une tradition litt\u00e9raire qui nourrit la stigmatisation moderne<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette longue tradition, farce, th\u00e9\u00e2tre, contes, satire a install\u00e9 durablement trois id\u00e9es fausses :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>La tromperie serait risible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le tromp\u00e9 serait na\u00eff ou responsable de son malheur.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>L\u2019adult\u00e8re rel\u00e8verait du divertissement ou du folklore.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces repr\u00e9sentations anciennes p\u00e8sent encore aujourd\u2019hui sur les victimes.<br>Elles expliquent une part essentielle du ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne moderne que l\u2019association SOS Cocu analyse : la cocuphobie, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire la honte, la culpabilit\u00e9 et la peur du jugement social qui frappent les personnes tromp\u00e9es, parfois au point de les r\u00e9duire au silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Redonner dignit\u00e9 \u00e0 une figure d\u00e9form\u00e9e par les si\u00e8cles<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>En revisitant cette histoire litt\u00e9raire, SOS Cocu rappelle que :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color social.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Comprendre cette \u00e9volution culturelle permet d\u2019\u00e9clairer la souffrance contemporaine des victimes d\u2019infid\u00e9lit\u00e9 et de souligner l\u2019importance d\u2019un accompagnement bienveillant, respectueux et d\u00e9culpabilisant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La litt\u00e9rature fran\u00e7aise a fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 pendant des si\u00e8cles une image d\u00e9valorisante du tromp\u00e9.<br>Aujourd\u2019hui, il devient essentiel de d\u00e9construire cette tradition pour redonner leur place, leur dignit\u00e9 et leur voix \u00e0 celles et ceux qui ont
